In order to ensure the smooth teaching work, and timely and comprehensively understand the teaching preparatory work, two teaching conferences for the 2022 spring semester were held on February 16 and 18 respectively. The meeting was held in the form of combination of online and offline, and was divided into two sessions according to different programs. Professor Tao Tao, Dean of International College, Huang Guanhua, Deputy Dean of International College, Chen Xiangliu, deputy secretary of the Party committee, leaders of teaching and research groups of study abroad foundation program, teachers of Dublin undergraduate program and relevant staff attended the meeting.

On the afternoon of Feb 16, the leaders of the professional teaching and research group, English teaching and research group, art professional teaching and research group and Japanese teaching and research group of the study abroad foundation program reported the latest progress and preparation of teaching work one by one, pointing out that, up to now, all teachers have completed all preparations before the start of the new semester according to the original teaching plan and will start the class on schedule in strict accordance with the relevant requirements of the school. In view of the difficulties and key problems to be solved in the teaching of the new semester, the team leaders actively discussed and put forward suggestions.

Listening to the relevant reports from different teaching and research groups, the leaders of International College fully affirmed the efforts made by the teachers for the smooth new semester teaching work, got to know the safe use of the relevant teaching equipment and laboratories, attached great importance to the key and difficult problems to be solved in the teaching, fully communicated and discussed with the team leaders, and formulated the optimal plan. In combination with the current epidemic situation and the complex and severe situation at home and abroad, President Tao Tao asked teachers to continue to focus on connotative development according to the school running orientation and original intention of the college, constantly improve teaching methods, optimize teaching links, strengthen teaching discussion among teaching and research groups, constantly improve teaching level, further improve the college running quality and help more students successfully complete their studies, and realize the dream of studying abroad.

On the morning of Feb 18, at the meeting of the XMU-DBS Sino-foreign cooperation program. Dean Tao Tao first thanked the teachers of the School of Economics and the School of Management for their strong support, conveyed the relevant requirements of the school for the new semester to the participating teachers, pointed out that the school and the college attached great importance to the running of the XMU-DBS program, and hoped that all teachers can seriously implement the preparations for the semester, and carry out online and offline teaching smoothly combined with the actual situation of students. He said that the college will also actively cooperate with teachers form the School of Economics and the School of Management, continuously integrate high-quality teaching resources, combine better teaching experience and methods, complete students' follow-up graduation thesis guidance and internship, and promote the talent training of XMU-DBS program students to go abroad for further study, domestic study and employment to a new high.

At the meeting, all teachers fully communicated and discussed with the college leaders about the course opening, teaching equipment, course assessment and students' graduation, which effectively ensured the smooth development of all teaching work for the new semester.
